Thanksgiving-Canadian Rockies

It's Thanksgiving weekend in Canada.
What an interesting week leading up to the weekend. We received almost 35 cms. of snow in Banff. Cars were in the ditch everywhere. The highway East of Canmore towards Calgary was closed for over 13 hours. People were trapped in their vehicles, waiting out the storm.
On Thursday, I drove to CMH Bugaboo lodge. The peaks were blasted with new snow....they had almost 50 cms. in the Alpine.

The season is changing earlier this year. I read somewhere, that all the smoke we had from fires this summer have left a lot of particles in the air. These particles grab moisture, and with the cooler temps we have been experiencing, we are receiving more snow.

With yesterday being a warm 14c, it was time to prep for the upcoming Winter. Bikes were put away, paddle-boards were deflated and golf clubs are stored until next year. We can park in the garage again!

Between chores and walks in the autumn sun, it is time to share dinner with family and friends.

Wherever you are this weekend, I wish you all the best in your world. Step back from your busy life and take time to be with those close to you. And wherever you can, please help someone less fortunate.
